MEET THE COUNSELOR

I am so glad our paths have crossed! I have over 21 years of counseling experience, which includes my time as a school counselor, working with community based mental health agencies, pastoral care, as well as private practice. During this time, I've seen a variety of clients and in the community mental health setting, I have enjoyed providing services as a team lead for intensive in-home therapy and as a clinical director.

I am a graduate of Shaw University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Masters of Education in Guidance and School Counseling from North Carolina Central University. Since being licensed in 2007 as a Licensed Professional Counselor, (now called Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor), I have maintained a part-time and now full-time private practice, Life Restoration Services, PLLC. I practice a biblical approach to counseling where restoring hope with compassion, patience and a listening ear for individuals is of utmost importance. I provide a safe place for individuals to tell their stories and concerns such as stress management, anger management, grief and loss, women’s issues and relationship healing are addressed. 

In addition, a separate service of Life Coaching was added in 2016 when I received my certification as a Certified Biblical Life Coach. Through this service, I provide spiritual guidance and counseling to those who need encouragement in their faith walk. When I'm not counseling, praise dancing and time outdoors bring me joy.
